Awake In My Bed
As I lay here, awake in my bed,
I think of where else my life could have led;
Through forests of green, over mountains of red,
To lands I could only see in my head.
Now it’s too late; my thoughts have fled
Into the darkness I know to dread.
I’d much rather be elsewhere instead,
Than lying here, awake in my bed.
